HI all,
In todays Q&A, Michael referenced Lavrov’s speech that was picked up on the highly regarded Johnsons Russia list. A lot of the deeper geo-political machinations were picked up in this speech. Michael’s note summarised this as “It’s obvious that European banking, investment and trade with Russia is over, and does not look like it’s going to resume soon.
Germany will see its economy disrupted with shortages – but will accept that as a token of its loyalty to the US, and its shame at losing the last two world wars.”
Thanks for all those who joined us, it was a deep dive into the future of de-globalised world, with currency blocks forming as we speak. Might be a good time to buy gold?
Stay in touch and we will get another discussion up on zoom in a few months.
Karl on behalf of the ever productive Michael Hudson.
